About Nanjing University (NJU). NJU is a member of C9 League, an official alliance of nine most famous universities in mainland China. It is located in the historical Nanjing (meaning South Capital) City, near the Yangtze River. About Our School. School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (SCCE) is the largest school among NJU's 31 schools. It was founded in 1920, being one of the earliest chemistry institutions in China. After nearly one century's development and evolution, it is now a globally leading school, dedicated to advancing the chemical sciences by cutting-edge researches and world-renowned education.
