Xizhang Wang obtained his Ph.D. in chemistry from Nanjing University in 2001. He was appointed as an associate professor (2003) and professor (2011) of chemistry of Nanjing University . He was also a Fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) in Tokyo University (2003-2005). His scientific interests mainly focus on nanomaterial chemistry, sustainable energy, and heterogeneous catalysis.
