Personal Profile
Leyong Wang received his Ph.D. degree from Nanjing Univ., China in 2000. After postdoctoral stays at the Institute of Chemistry, CAS (2000-2002) with Prof. Youliang Hu, the Université de Bourgogne, France with Dr. Jean-Claude Chambron and Prof. Roger Guilard (2002-2003), and at Mainz Univ. Germany with Dr. Voker Böhmer (2003-2004). He then became a Humboldt Research Fellow in Erlangen-Nürnberg Univ., Germany affiliated with Professor John A Gladysz. In 2006, he was appointed as Professor of Organic & Materials Chemistry at Nanjing University, China. He holds numerous scientific awards and has been serving on the editorial board of six international academic journals including Chinese Chem. Lett, Green Syntheis & Catalysis, Supramol. Chem., RSC Advances, Chinese J. Org. Chem., and Frontier in Chemistry. He has authored or coauthored over 190 papers in international peer reviewed journals with an H-index of 44. He has published 5 book chapters and edited one book too. His main research area is Supramolecular Chemistry and Biomaterials.
