Personal Profile
Wei-Yin Sun was born in Anhui, China, in 1964. He graduated from East China Normal University, Shanghai, China in 1986, and received his Ph.D. degree from Osaka University, Japan in 1993. From 1993 to 1995, he was a research fellow at Central Research Institute, Shionogi, Japan. Since 1996 he has been working as a Professor at Nanjing University, where he pursues research programs on the coordination chemistry, supramolecular chemistry and bioinorganic chemistry, with particular interests in design of metal-organic architectures with specific topologies and properties, and in the relationship between structure and properties. He has published more than 300 research papers and one book entitled “Coordination Chemistry” (2nd edition, in Chinese) in 2010, now is Editorial Advisory Board Member of CrysEngComm and Editorial Board Member of J. Coord. Chem., Associate Editor of Chinese Chem. Lett., Executive Associate Editor of Chinese J. Inorg. Chem. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) since 2014 and the Most Cited Chinese Researchers of 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, Elsevier. Show All
